I began a real estate career in the early 1970s when I obtained my Real Estate Broker’s license from the Massachusetts Dept. of Business Regulation, and later that year I also received by Broker’s license for the state of Rhode Island.

When I first began my journey, I operated R.D. Sweeney Real Estate, and later incorporated under the name of McBrian Co., Realtors, named after my two sons Michael and Brian.

As an active member of the local, state and national Associations of Realtors,
I was thoroughly involved in the Professionalism of our industry.

Over the years I had served on most committees for my local board and state associations. Was elected to the Board of Directors and was elected Board President on two separate occasions and was also voted “Realtor of the Year” twice by the local board and was elected as Regional Vice President for the Mass. Association of Realtors.

During those times, I studied and took many courses and received the nationally recognized GRI (Graduate of the Realtor’s Institute) designation from the Mass. Association and CRB (Certified Residential Broker) designation from the National Association of Realtors. I was also an active member of the Rhode Island Realtors Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. I also served as an instructor on Mass. law for the Pawtucket/Blackstone Valley Board of Realtors in Rhode Island, as part of their educational program

McBrian Realtors thrived and survived through many peaks and valleys this industry oftentimes experiences.
I can recall in the mid 70s, through creative financing, we sold properties with interest rates exceeding the high teens - glad that’s over with!!

I specialized in residential single family homes with an emphasis on assisting relocating families. That was and still is very rewarding for me. We were in operation for 21 years in New England and retired from the business, only some years later to find myself back in the field as a Realtor here in sunny and warm Florida. With over 1,000 people moving to Florida each day, I am still working in relocating families.

With a strong professional work ethic behind me, I continue to give my all in helping people whether buying, selling or relocating. I am eager for the opportunity to serve you.
